　　出生于军事世家的Alexandra Everett，注定要成为军人，她以优异的成绩入伍，并晋升成为新兵教官和治安军官等职位，她以假结婚来隐瞒自己真实的同性恋倾向，然后就在她即将光荣的完成服役期之时，却因为与某女兵暧昧照片被递交上级，而陷入军事调查。上级长官试图帮她，但因军队对同性恋的严格规定而被迫让她提前退役。

　　回到家乡的她，发现家乡已经变成了一个毒贩猖獗的小镇，以前的老友们最初也是有点格格不入的感觉。老奶奶在警官的帮助下，将自己的孙女Saffron托付给她，希望她能帮助叛逆的Saffron改邪归正，摆脱交通事故阴影，尽快入伍以免除被警察局监禁的后果。

　　在帮助Saffron达到入伍新兵的各项要求的同时，Alexandra与之前的女友交往频繁，而Saffron的毒贩男友一心想报复，而将拍摄的照片在镇上张贴。迫使Alex想离开小镇，但由于Saffron也卷入这个丑闻而被拒绝参军，Saffron灰心丧气，再次堕落，回到毒贩男友身边。Alex冲入毒贩窝，试图解救Saffron，但被砸晕，被绑。Saffron试图帮忙Alex，在扭打中，毒贩男友不慎一枪击中了Saffron的腹部... 她被送入医院获救。

　　电视里，奥巴马终于公布了允许同性恋参军的法案，Saffron终于正式入伍，而Alexandra则转职成为了小镇的女警官。
