一次偶然中，艾玛和苏顿重逢了，惊异于两人几乎一模一样的容貌，苏顿提出了一个令艾玛怎么也想不通的请求——代替自己，体验几天富家小姐的生活。然而，几天过去了，苏顿却音信全无，与此同时，艾玛开始意识到，自己似乎落入了一个圈套当中。
