　　在京畿道有一个著名的废屋。由对它的来历和神秘传说颇好奇的人组成的"废屋同好会"的三名成员和三个电视台的记者为了查明这间屋子是否真的有鬼而勇敢地进入这个禁地。而这群人进入废屋的结果，却是无一例外地消失无踪，现场遗留下的只是一盒录像带……

幕后制作

《废家》标榜"real horror"，全部由非专业演员出演，以伪记录片的形式拍摄，被誉为"韩国版女巫布莱尔"。影片在韩国京畿道一处真实有着闹鬼传说的房屋中拍摄，剧组人员更花费两个多月心血将其打造的更加阴森。在现实生活中，这样的"废家"经常可见，由于人性天生的好奇心和想象力作祟，"我们不单单把它当作是废弃了的房子看待，民间亦流传着许多关于进入废家后看到幽灵的传说"，导演称此片正是对几乎每个人内心深处都有的'阴郁角落'--被无数不散的阴魂缠住的废家进行放大和真实化"，"恐怖空间往往不是客观存在的物体，它可能只是人心里的好奇感和恐怖心的歪曲扩大化"。
